More Concert Model 10-Strings       |
  Left: Stephen Bright's 10-string with European spruce soundboard, Brazilian rosewood back and sides, special purfling treatment, and Alessi tuners. Right: Scott Rifkin's 10-string with Canadian Lutz spruce top and mahogany back, sides and matching headplate. Garnet shellac was used for the french polish on Scott's guitar to give it a warmer look. Guitars in Progress and Other Stuff: Following are four images of Perf DeCastro's 10-string. This is a special instrument featuring a raised fingerboard, a fingerboard extension past the nut for the 7th and 8th strings, which are the lowest pitched with the tuning system Perf uses, and sound ports on the sides. The guitar will also be using a set of individual Gilbert tuners. Woods are a Canadian Lutz spruce top and cocobolo back and sides. The neck is Spanish cedar. |
