As of December, 2007, my waiting list is at least 14 months. This is an estimated completion date, not a start date. Please note that I do not rush my guitar builds. I try to complete one to two guitars a month. I encourage my clients to stay in touch, and I like to send them progress emails, when appropriate, which will usually include images of the project as it is moving forward. A
$250 deposit is required to hold your place in line. The deposit
is non-refundable, so be sure you've made up your mind about
this. The non-refundable nature of the deposit is due to the fact that
it represents a compensation for the time I spend with the prospective
client during the planning and designing stages, time spent researching
the price and availabilty of materials and components, etc. Half
the balance is due when I begin building the guitar,
and the other half, plus shipping and insurance (approximately $50), is
due upon completion. If the completed guitar is to be shipped
outside the United States, additional shipping charges will likely
apply.
All my guitars carry a lifetime warranty against defects in materials
and workmanship, "lifetime" being defined as my life as a practicing
luthier. You may
download a copy of my commission agreement (in Microsoft Word format) here. You may
view the commission agreement in HTML format here. |
